Lauren knew, from a young age, that her calling was to be an attorney. As the daughter of a District Attorney, she loved watching her father in the courtroom. Now a practicing attorney for nearly 12 years, she has successfully established herself as a client-driven attorney with a deep commitment to integrity, advocacy and equality.
After graduating from law school Lauren began work at a defense litigation firm. She then moved in-house for a large retailer, before returning to private practice where she now focuses on workers’ compensation, intentional torts arising out of workers’ compensation claim handling, employment litigation, and general insurance defense. Within her practice, she regularly represents insurance companies and self-insured employers from across the Southeast. Her clients have come to appreciate her broad view of litigation and unique client perspective, having worked both in-house and in private practice.
In additional to her active litigation practice, Lauren is heavily involved in industry groups and in community service efforts. Lauren currently serves as a Director for the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Organization.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time at the lake. She also loves spending time with her son.
Lauren earned her BA from The University of Alabama and her JD from The University of Alabama School of Law. She also completed the Mini MBA for In-House Counsel program at Boston University and is a graduate of the Birmingham Bar Association Future Leaders Forum.
